These days the very happening and trendy topic is Personality Development.Very often I have come across people who fosters themselves that if they had a good personality it would have been a different scenario. Some people think that a so called good personality will fetch them a good job, a girlfriend etc .
To emphasize on communication , they consider it as speaking in English.
Personality is a set of traits that we portray to others to impress others and to impress others people forget that spontaneity or individuality which is pure and can really aid one to grow holistically,
Try to grow holistically rather developing the mask which will surely bring contentment in one's life.
I wonder how?
First of all to develop one's personality one has to understand the clear and pure meaning of personality and there after one can actually develop .My students keep on asking how can they enhance their personality as they feel inferior of others. They cannot speak infront of others , they have stage phobia and can't stand others.
Instead of developing themselves they are more concerned about facing others.
Everyone portrays a set of traits through which we actually identify people like physical traits - height, weight etc. If we are saying that we want to develop our personality that simply says that I want to develop those already existing traits i.e improving those already existing traits.
Traits can be classified into two parts-innate and inculcated.
Innate are the ones that are already there in you since birth like the physical traits and the inculcated ones are those that are developed with time .
Both of these can be improved like the way you look can be altered, the quality of your voice can be changed or improved.
When somebody is not happy or satisfied with himself due to comparison with others he try to change himself or try to become someone else. Consequence is that he neither becomes 'A' nor remains 'B'.
My very first question to them is what do you mean by personality?

They reply very casually with a confident tone that personality is the way we communicate, our body language ,the way we behave , dressing style.
